According to the latest census, DR’s population was 9,445,281. The provincias with the highest density were, Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Santiago, San Cristóbal, La Vega, Puerto Plata y San Pedro de Macorís.

The East-Coast of the Dominican Republic is comprised of several different white sand and pink sand areas, including the well-known area of Punta Cana, as well as Cap Cana, Cabeza de Toro, Bavaro, Arena Gorda, Macao, and Uveroalto, as depicted on the above Map. These areas combined have come to be known and referred to by the general public and marketers as “Punta Cana”.


There are 8 main beaches, Playa Macao, Playa Arena Gorda, Playa el Cortecito, Playa Bavaro, Playa Cabeza del Toro, Playa Blanca, Playa Punta Cana, and Playa Juanillo.


The Punta Cana International Airport is a privately owned and operated airport. In 1983 it welcomed 2,976 passengers, in the present time (pre-pandemic) it handled more than 7.3 million visitors, representing 67% of all international flights into the island and making it the island’s number 1 vacation destination.

Due to the great work of local developers along with foreign investors, residents and visitors enjoy some of the best infrastructures on the island in terms of roads, housing, entertainment, public services, and safety.
